Pitney Bowes Inc. will showcase a wide range of solutions, technology and expertise at National Postal Forum to help mailers maximize postal discounts and increase efficiency. The postal industry’s largest show will be held at the Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, California, May 18-21, 2008.

At booth # 1213, Pitney Bowes’ showcase of innovative technologies and resources for mailers will include end-to-end options for Intelligent Mail Barcode compliance. Postal experts will also be on hand to consult with mailers about implementing the Intelligent Mail Barcode and how to optimize this initiative for greater postal discounts.

New featured solutions will include Pitney Bowes’ VariSort Mixed Mail Sorter, which enables transactional mailers and service bureaus to process flats, poly-wrap items, small parcels and letters with greater efficiency to help achieve maximum postage discounts. Also, Pitney Bowes’ new FPS Split Drive Inserting System detects and diverts faulty envelopes and re-feeds without operator intervention to provide even greater productivity and integrity for mail piece production.

The Connected Mailstream exhibit will feature a financial statement application designed with the DOC1 document management solution coupled with Pitney Bowes’ Production Intelligence workflow management solutions. With VIP™ and VDE™ software management solutions and the DFWorks document tracking solution, Pitney Bowes will demonstrate an end-to-end workflow, showing how the statement application can be transformed, monitored and tracked. In addition, Pitney Bowes will demonstrate how to dynamically enhance statement applications in real-time prior to printing. The demo will replace the current POSTNET barcode with the new Intelligent Mail Barcode, index jobs for automatic reprint, generate MRDF control file to support integrity, and add variable marketing messages to maximize white space for TransPromo. Next, the statement will run through the FPS™ Split Drive Inserting System, as well as the EFS Envelope Finishing System for inline printing of the Intelligent Mail® Barcode and variable messaging to increase openability. Finally, the statement will run as a flat on the DI950 Universal Feeder system and will be processed on Pitney Bowes’ two new flats sorting solutions.
