AACRO to Release Print Shop Manager Version 3.0
AACRO Computer Systems will release Print Shop Manager Version 3.0 for Estimating, Job Tickets and Invoicing, December 1st, 2008.
Print Shop Manager 3.0 integrates Digital Printers into the printer selections that previously used only Offset Presses. Previously a separate Digital template which accommodated selecting from a list of digital printers for printing one or two sides on multiple user defined sizes was used to compare digital to offset prices. Now the same pricing tables used to price digital jobs will be used in the templates previously reserved for offset. The new program can be setup as digital and offset, digital only or offset only. This new capability will allow, for example, selecting a digital printer to print the covers and selecting an offset press to print the pages while defining a single booklet job. Using this, a CSR or salesperson no longer needs to define multiple jobs to accommodate a single request from a customer, thereby making the quote cleaner and easier for the customer to understand. In a simpler job like envelopes or business cards, they can select a digital printer, then an offset press for the same job to see how they compare in price. Once a printer decision is made, they save the job to a quote and email or print it for the customer.
This capability will be part of the standard set of features in Print Shop Manager 3.0. Users of Ver. 2.xxxx will receive the update as part of their normal yearly Maintenance and Support plan.
In addition to enhanced capability, Print Shop Manager will be offered with several payment plans. “We are all very certain that the current economic trends will not last forever. So at a time when cash flow is a major consideration, shop owners can purchase Print Shop Manager over a period of time, start using the software, and have it ready to go when the market changes” said Rich Giles, President of AACRO Computer Systems, Inc. “Also any shops that later decide to not complete the purchase because of extreme budget conditions will be released from the agreement. Our goal is to make quality software available to as many printers as possible, be easy to work with and readily available in this time of slowing economy,” said Rich. “When printers are struggling, the rest of us who service the industry can step up and do what ever we can to help at this time.”
AACRO Computer Systems, Inc released Print Shop Manger to the public in late 2000. In addition to Print Shop Manager, AACRO also markets Mail Center Manager for the Direct Mail / Bulk Mail Industry. AACRO is the marketing arm of R.G. Technologies, a software company in Marietta, Georgia which has been developing custom manufacturing, service and sales software for local and international use since 1985.
