Melissa Data to Showcase SmartMover Unlimited 48-Month NCOALink at DMA
Melissa Data, (www.melissadata.com), a USPS Full Service Licensee will debut new SmartMover Unlimited 48-month NCOALink processing at the DMA show. This service will be built right into their MAILERS+4 mail preparation software, so direct mailers can seamlessly move update their files online, in real-time, 24/7. The new Move Update standards will take effect November 23, 2008 and include a shortening of the processing window from 185 days to 95 days and the extension of Move Update requirements to include all Standard Mail in addition to First-Class Mail.
Approximately 20% of the population moves every year, resulting in an estimated 8% of all Standard Mail being undeliverable due to incorrect addresses. By using NCOALink to move update a 100,000 piece Standard mailing, a mailer could save over $2,000 in postage, printing and paper costs ($0.21 discounted postage rate + a conservative estimate of $0.05 per piece in materials costs). Melissa Data’s SmartMover NCOALink 48-month processing service is available any way a mailer wants it: SmartMover Real-time Web service, SmartMover batch processing, and new SmartMover unlimited exclusively for MAILERS+4 Professional and Standard subscribers. Because one size doesn’t fit all, SmartMover is available across different price tiers to accommodate the needs of both large and small mailers. Additionally, customers can choose the new FlexPay option and spread their SmartMover purchase over 12 easy monthly payments. All SmartMover services update records with the new addresses for individuals, families or businesses who moved in the last 48 months. SmartMover will help mailers realize a significant delivery improvement by reducing the amount of undeliverable or delayed mail, and qualify both Standard and First-Class mailings for USPS automation and presort discounts.
