Neopost Unveils Neopost Mail Piece Production Control

Neopost Press Release

Neopost, the worldwide provider of mailing and shipping solutions, introduces Neopost Mail Piece Production Control (MPPC) for secured mail processing. Easily implemented into existing processing environments, MPPC is a scanning hardware and software solution, which monitors the mail piece insertion process, enables easy reconciliation of missing documents and provides detailed production reports to guarantee end-to-end mailing production integrity from print to insertion.

Extending Neopost’s PrintMachine output management software solutions, the MPPC provides folding/inserting monitoring and validation to support the needs of businesses for mailings requiring high levels of confidentiality, time sensitiveness and regulatory compliance. This solution presents the document protection necessary to avoid serious liabilities, litigation and regulatory penalties due to non-compliance or confidentiality breaches. Organizations can now safely and securely mail sensitive documents such as health records, financial information and legal notices.

Mailing print stream enhancement begins with a unique, non-intrusive barcode ID printed on each document. These 2D tracking marks greatly minimize document formatting and printing requirements as barcodes fit well within the address block.

The MPPC validates inserted documents with barcode scanning hardware that reads each unique ID after a document is inserted through the window of the envelope. The easy-to-use Integrity Control Dashboard software interface allows each document to be identified in real time as they are inserted. Document barcodes are compared in real-time to the original document print stream database, alerting users of any out-of-sequence, missing, duplicate, misread or invalid document discrepancies during production enabling easy reconciliation of missing or damaged documents. In these instances, MPPC will optionally pause the insertion process, allowing operators to resolve identified issues swiftly and effectively.

For added convenience, a handheld scanner is included with Neopost’s MPPC solution to speed up reconciliation of missing or damaged documents. It enables operators to quickly scan a single document after re-print and re-insertion.
