HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press Supports Innovative Growth at Indexx Inc.
HP today announced that Indexx Inc., an award-winning commercial print service provider, has installed an HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press to increase printing capacity and productivity in support of the company’s rapid expansion.
The HP Indigo 7000 offered the image size, media flexibility and productivity needed to cost-effectively produce applications such as larger perfect-bound books and business cards printed on 16-point stocks. It also allows the firm to address growing volumes of variable-data print work and offer faster turnaround times in targeted marketing services.
Greenville, S.C-based Indexx, which has launched three marketing services subsidiaries in the past 18 months, also chose HP because of increased demand for workflow productivity. To meet its needs, Indexx installed an HP SmartStream Production Pro Print Server with its press, gaining increased setup and color control automation, as well as a higher level of robust raster image processing functionality. This enables Indexx to process two million variable data records in less than two hours.
“Because the HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press makes it possible for us to run higher volume work at faster speeds, we now achieve a greater return on investment on each print job – which allows us to offer the highest quality printing at lower prices to our customers,” said Jordan Finn, president of Indexx Inc. “We’ve also improved processing time by 95 percent. Increased automation means less work for our operators and greater productivity that can support the future growth of our business.”
Highly customized on-demand printing
To meet demand from all areas of the Indexx business, the HP Indigo 7000 Digital Press currently runs six 13-hour shifts per week. Indexx uses the press for web-to-print applications for customers such as Milliken & Company, a textile, chemical and floor coverings manufacturer that uses Indexx web-to-print solutions for its collateral and corporate identity needs.
