GLUNZ & JENSEN GECKO 85T
The Gecko 85T plate processor is the thermal CtP variant of Glunz & Jensen’s basic processing platform, supporting printers with a typical annual production of up to 12,500 square meters per year. This is a simple processing solution with a basic range of configuration options that meets the requirements of most printers. It is available in either an offline or an online version. With its open terminal interface, the unit connects to all setters with a basic “ready/not ready” interface functionality. The processor can be upgraded with a drip tray, feed and exit table, compact stacker, or a water saving kit. It is compatible with existing chem-free/low-chem modification kits.

The Heidelberg Suprasetter A52 offers basic manual feed small-format CtP in a small footprint. The Xanté PlateMaker 5 is a chemical-free, process-free, total prepress system that images paper proofs, film, and polyester plates. It is compatible with Adobe Postscript 3, offers resolution up to 2400 dpi, and can output up to 120 plates per hour. MITSUBISHI IMAGING THERMAL DIGIPLATE
Mitsubishi Imaging’s Thermal DigiPlate produces up to 60 plates per hour and is capable of outputting plates up to 18.1x20.8". This is a truly processless system that uses the company’s patented thermal fusing technology to create a high-contrast image on the plate without chemical development, wash-off, or ablation. The system is comprised of TDP-R175 plate material and the Thermal DigiPlater TDP-459. It features thermal inline head technology, is optimized for 2-up format with a resolution of 1200 dpi/120 lpi, and requires no chemicals, toner, or ink ribbon. The paper-based plates require no chemicals and produces high image contrast, repeatability, and image control. The resin coated paper plate is available in rolls.

PRESSTEK DPM PRO 400
Presstek’s DPM Pro 400 polyester CTP platesetter is designed for printers using small-format presses. It images plates for both portrait and landscape format presses and supports screen rulings up to 175 lpi. The built-in processor uses up to two-thirds less chemistry than many other units. The DPM Pro 400 uses Presstek enhanced MEGAPRO polyester and paper-based plates with the new MEGA LC chemistry. Key features include resolution of 1200, 1500, 1800, or 2400 dpi; produces up to 78 plates per hour in sizes ranging from 9" to 16.31" wide and 8.65" to 22.83" long, with a maximum imaging width of 15.9". MAKO 2X CTP
ECRM’s MAKO 2x CTO system delivers two-page platesetting with a full resolution range of 1200 to 3556 dpi. The unit images more than 27 GTO plates per hour at 2400 dpi. Kimoto’s Kimosetter 525 is a chemical-free CTP system for the 2‐up market. The 150 lpi halftone capability is targeted specifically to short-run jobs for 2-up presses. Users can load the polyester plates in bulk or one at a time. It comes with a dedicated RIP that has been designed specifically for UV inkjet conventional half toning. The RIP allows for two output levels for high quality jobs or for very high quality halftone work.

KODAK TRENDSETTER
Kodak Trendsetter 400 Platesetters have been updated with a smaller footprint, a more powerful thermal imaging head, and new hardware and software. It can image 43 4-page plates per hour, and with the Autoloader, can image 50 plates per hour and offers 2400 dpi resolution. Kodak Squarespot Imaging Technology is standard with this equipment. It supports the company’s Thermal Direct Non Process Plates and can throughput up to 28 plates per hour. The unit is compatible with a number of workflow systems and can be upgraded to a larger format.
